Artist Biography
Siya Deshmukh is a passionate and intrigued visual artist based in the Bay Area, with over a decade of artistic experience. Starting her journey at a young age, Siya has explored a wide range of mediums, including graphite shading, watercolor, digital art, and acrylic painting.
Over the past 10 years, Siya has primarily focused on acrylic painting, developing a unique style that elaborates her deep understanding of form, color, and composition. Her pieces often reflect themes of landscape, still life, and conceptual art, showcasing her skill for detail and a vibrant use of color.
As a young artist, Siya has participated in several PTSA Reflections competitions, achieving significant prizes. In 2022, her original piece “Reflected Colors” earned First Place in the Fremont Council, and this work was later displayed at the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara through a non-profit organization. In 2023, she continued her success with “Last Light,” which also received recognition in the PTSA Reflections. Most recently, her piece, “Brushed of Imperfection”, earned Second Place at the school level of Reflections. Siya has achieved second place for My Good Brain’s Youth Art Month contest, consecutively for two years.
Beyond her own artistic journey, Siya has shared her passion by assisting as a secondary art teacher during the Ohlone Kids Summer Camp, where she taught children techniques and styles, inspiring young artists. She has also contributed to Fremont’s beauty with an originally designed electrical box.
Siya’s artistic journey is influenced by endless curiosity and a desire to capture the beauty and complexity of the world around her. As she continues to evolve as an artist, Siya continues to push the boundaries of her creativity, constantly exploring new techniques and ideas to bring her visions to life.
